The meeting of Valeriy Omelchenko with members of the IT- Ukraine Association was held in the Committee on March 12 in order to strengthen interrelations between the legislative power and representatives of IT industry to provide comprehensive assistance in settling urgent problems of the industry at the level of state.
“It is our primary task to maintain fruitful dialogue and find common ways to settle urgent problems of the industry. I suggest that you, as representatives of business, show your vision and make offers to the authorities and management in regard to determining the strategy and lines of activity of the industry,” stressed the Committee Chairman at the beginning of the meeting.
Experts present, noted positive shifts concerning participation of the state in development of the IT sector. Problematic issues of the IT development were discussed during the meeting. In particular, lack of legislative regulation and inconsistencies between the quality of education and experts’ qualifications with the needs of the market.
The issue of cooperation between authorities and representatives of business, as well as the importance of forming image of Ukraine as a developed IT state were also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, Valeriy Omelchenko expressed an idea regarding the necessity of forming effective system of cadre training, and stressed that the Committee shall be the unifying link between the employers and the bodies of executive power. Summing up, the Committee Chairman expressed readiness for further active cooperation and open dialogue between the Committee and representatives of the leading IT organizations and companies.
